Seo Test - Real Search Engine Tests

Does it make any difference in search engine results if you create a free blog with wordpess.com or blogspot.com? I won’t say much about this simply because it’s so easy to recreate yourself, if you need a specific answer then try it, but..

 I have now created a few sites, almost identical in topic and word count but not duplicate content. The domains are the same i.e. domain.wordpress.com and domain.blogspot.com.

Every one of them shows the blogger blogs dragging way behind the results. Not only do the wordpress ones get indexed far quicker but in every case has also shown the wordpress blogs hundreds of places ahead in the serps. Also worth noting, the Blogger ones will often go straight into supplemental.

Does this prove anything? Short term maybe but that’s about all I can say. The content is very short on all of them (maybe 300 words, one page or two pages) and they are all fairly new, three to six months. I am expereminting  with these so I will be able to give an update on this in a month or two. I will experiment with more content and maybe some linking. What I want to figure out is if the Blogger blogs will consistently stay behind or do they perhaps just go through some tougher filtering while they are new? Time will tell on this one. In the meantime just try it yourself if you’re interested, it doesn’t cost anything.
