Spinning Articles - How Much Time Are You Wasting

This isn’t an argument about the rights and wrongs of article spinning, just some common sense. First off, there is nothing wrong with duplicate content, not morally, it’s just that search engines don’t like it. There’s also nothing wrong with article marketing to try and grab attention towards your website. If you had an off line business, nobody would have any objection about you using the same advert in twenty newspapers. They also wouldn’t accuse you of spamming the newspapers.

It’s a little different with search engines because if you put the same ‘advert’ in twenty article sites then only one of them will count. So we work the system to our advantage by rewriting the ‘advert’ so that each one counts. Internet is a different format but it doesn’t come with it’s own set of moral rules unless you decide it should be treated differently. If you do think it should then ask yourself something. If duplicate content is spamming the internet then what are adverts doing in newspapers without your objection. You don’t buy the newspaper just for the ads, or do you? If you do, you win, if you don’t then you’re argument is flawed.

Okay, so we game the system, so what. If that’s what exposure costs then that’s what it costs. But let’s be clear, there is a big difference between the same article, rewritten that’s useful and informative compared to those that are pure trash, and by trash I mean the ones that many article spinners throw out in the hopes of gaining cheap backlinks. Okay, that’s the moral argument out of the way, and I won. Now let’s think about the important part. What are you hoping to gain if you throw out spun trash, seriously. There’s nothing wrong with using article spinners. There’s everything wrong with using article spinners to churn out pure garbage for two reasons. One, you shouldn’t be filling up the internet with utter crap. You would use such poor, unreadable English to run your ad in the newspaper. That’s reason one. Reason two is one that is just plain and simple common sense. You can churn out a pure garbage article spin in about five minutes. You can also spend about an hour or two and churn out fully readable, useful and informative articles that read as good as an article written from scratch.

The first type of article will get a large percentage of rejections from even the crappiest of article sites. Any article site with some authority will be almost guaranteed rejection. Your five minutes of work will result in a few low quality links. Spend a few hours on it however and you will pretty much get a 100% acceptance rate and you can submit them to virtually any article site where the links are worth something. Not only that but those links will be long term. Most of the crappy sites that accept the pure junk are usually gone within a year and become nothing more than parked domains. It’s not rocket science and it’s not hard work. My one decently spun article might get fifty links out of fifty submissions and they will still be there in a year from now. The junk article might get a 30 - 80% acceptance rate to sites that won’t be sticking around. In one year from now you would have spun a hundred, five minute articles and still be submitting them regularly to keep up with the chase. In the meantime I have spun a fifth of amount of articles, still have all my backlinks and don’t need to keep constantly working to keep my search positions. Rant over!
